We will not remain silent, nor will we show indifference when outright lies are being told about the fate of the Bulgarian Jews during the Second World War—lies that lead to a new spiral of untruths and “alternative facts.”
“Shalom” is the legal successor of the Consistory of the Jews in Bulgaria prior to 1944. We are a public organization with a structure, membership, governing bodies, and statutes—an established part of civil society.
We will not allow this position to be undermined in the name of foreign political interests or projects.
